30 members of the Class of 2016 participated in UofL’s enrichment programs. That breakdown is: 18 in Preview to Dentistry, a three credit UofL undergraduate biology course, 6 from Student Medical Dental Education Program (SMDEP) funded by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and 6 from MCAT/DAT workshop which prepares the undergrads for those exams.

The Dental Hygiene class of 30 undergraduate students was specially chosen as the best and brightest from an applicant pool of 60. 24 are from Kentucky and 6 are from Indiana.

Academic class averages are: Overall GPA - 3.5, Science GPA - 3.4, and GPA in program requirements - 3.58.

3 were admitted through the new early admission program fondly known as UPP maintaining a GPA at or above 3.0 throughout their freshman and sophomore years at UofL.
