Celebrating our Building Renewal
The University of Louisville School of Dentistry has graduated dental professionals of the highest order since its beginning in 1887. Now, we celebrate our newly renovated state-of-the-art facility with new operatories, classrooms and classroom technology, clinical education support and modern infrastructure that will take us into the future. Come celebrate with us in September!
When the school moved from its former location at Brook and Broadway to its current home on Preston Street in 1970, no dental education institution in the country was superior.
Although the teaching and practice of dentistry has progressed over the decades, some of the equipment such as lights and dental chairs, and infrastructure remained largely untouched. The school recently underwent a $45-million-dollar renewal to make the facility state-of-the-art.
The future is bright as we make scientific discoveries, teach tomorrow’s dental professionals and meet the oral health needs of the community and beyond.
Join us for the celebratory ribbon-cutting event Tuesday, September 27 1pm-2:30pm at the
UofL School of Dentistry, 501 S. Preston Street, Louisville, Kentucky. The event will include remarks by President James Ramsey and Dean John Sauk followed by a reception and tours. RSVP to Julie Kroger, email@example.com
