Finding Life’s Passion – Dr. Bobby Elliott

Bobby Elliott visits with UofL pediatric dentistry residents.

Helping others achieve, giving back and leading by example are Bobby Elliott’s mottos.

He credits UofL with helping channel his love for children, teaching and health care into a single profession. Elliott works as a full-time pediatric dentist in North Carolina and as a part-time faculty member at UofL School of Dentistry and University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill.

“Students need to figure out what drives them and transfer that into their career path,” Elliott said.

Each year, one UofL senior dental student accepted into an accredited pediatric dental program wins the Dr. Robert D. Elliott Award in Pediatric Dentistry. It carries a monetary award and the opportunity to spend one week learning with Elliott in his North Carolina practice.

This two-time alum has planned a legacy to UofL by including the School of Dentistry in his will, and he encourages others to support their alma mater.
