Did you know that there is support available to you and your students for creating digital media assignments? Learn about the university’s Digital Media Suite (DMS).
During this session, we will discuss how digital media can be used to foster learning, and we will explore how digital assignments can be used in a variety of different subject matter. Examples of digital artifacts from a variety of UofL classes will be screened and discussed.
As a result of attending this session, you will be able to:
- Describe how the Digital Media Suite operates in support of faculty and student learning goals;
- Identify different types of digital media projects; and
- Generate ideas for creating a meaningful digital media assignment that connects to your course learning goals.

Beth Case is program manager for digital, emerging, and assistive technologies at the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning. She has two master’s degrees, one in clinical psychology and one in instructional technology. She is also completing her dissertation for a doctoral degree in instructional technology. Prior to returning to graduate school, Beth worked in postsecondary disability services for 13 years. Her background in both disability services and instructional technology has prepared her for helping faculty make online courses accessible to students with disabilities. She stays on top of emerging trends in using technology in education and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others.
