During emergency situations in research buildings, there my be instances where refrigerators or freezers may cease to function. Researchers could lose research materials that may adversely impact current or future research efforts.
In order to provide real time information to participating researchers, and provide them the opportunity to make attempts to protect their research products, an emergency notification system has been developed. This system will increase the ability for researchers to protect their equipment and research specimens.
Utilizing the Rave text messaging and email portion of the UofL Alert system, researchers and their staff (after they enroll) will receive email and/or text notifications of power outages or other building emergencies on both HSC and Belknap Campus. In order to enroll in this system, follow the link provided to complete the online form. If you ever want to leave this group, you will need to notify DEHS to remove you information from the list.
