At the UofL Conference Center at ShelbyHurst Campus, you will enjoy event space spread across two buildings: Burhans Hall and Founders Union. With over 19,000 square feet, we offer 10 rooms of modern meeting space, and outstanding value for your meeting dollar. Whatever the size of your group, we can help you determine the appropriate space and logistics for your event.

When you book with us, you are provided with all the tools and assistance you need to plan your event. With our service-minded coordinators, you will never have to worry about the details. Need more handouts? No problem. Unexpected attendees with special needs? We've got it covered. From catering orders to audio/visual challenges, we will eagerly respond to any unforeseen needs that may arise.

Founders Union

Founders Union is the perfect event venue for conferences, meetings, and corporate social events. With a large ballroom and six breakout rooms, our flexible space can be used for events of up to 500 guests, including exhibit halls and festivals, association meetings, company retreats, and more.

I worked with one person and she arranged for food, A/V, etc. Some conference spaces you end up working with each vendor directly and separately which gets time-consuming and not as seamless as you want and need it to be."


What’s included with your event at the UofL Conference Center

Event coordination to make your event easy

When your event is booked you’ll be assigned a coordinator who’ll be with you every step of the way to:

  • Work with you to determine the best meeting room configurations and provide you with a detailed room diagram
  • Consult with you on your food and beverage needs, assist you with developing your event menus and place your catering order
  • Coordinate audiovisual and technical support

  • Tables and chairs
  • Setup and breakdown

If we don’t have what you need, we’ll book it for you.

Coordinating your event logistics is included in your rental, but if you need additional assistance, we offer event planning services. From securing a speaker to managing your registrations and arranging transportation, we can provide planning and support services at a reasonable cost. And, it doesn’t matter if you hold your event at the UofL Conference Center or another venue, we can help.

While all of your basic needs such as tables, chairs, podium, and audiovisual equipment are included with your room rental, our coordinators can help you arrange the rental of additional items including:

  • Table linens
  • Stage
  • Dance floor
  • Additional lighting or sound equipment
  • Presenter laptop
  • Tents, tables, and chairs for outdoor events

Your Event and Conference Services coordinator will help you determine all the items needed for your event and provide you with a quote.
