Chemistry Department First-Year Student Scholarships

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Louisville (UofL) is offering three $500 scholarships to be awarded in Spring 2022 for first-year undergraduate students that are chemistry majors or intended chemistry majors.

Two Department of Chemistry Scholarships will be awarded to first-year students. One scholarship gives preference to support the education of women in chemistry and one scholarship gives preference to support the education of underrepresented minorities (U.S. citizens who identify as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian) or first generation college students in chemistry. Applicants must be chemistry majors or intended chemistry majors that first enrolled at UofL in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022.

The Department of Chemistry Honors Scholarship will be awarded to one first-year student in the Honors Program. Chemistry majors or intended chemistry majors that first enrolled at UofL in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 and are currently enrolled in CHEM 202H and CHEM 209H are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Requirements:
      1) Full-time chemistry major
      2) First enrolled at UofL in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022
      3) Eligible for scholarship support through the Financial Aid office at the University of Louisville
      4) Submission of complete application by deadline
      5) Students must be in the Honors program and currently enrolled in CHEM 202H and CHEM 209H for consideration of the
          Department of Chemistry Honors Scholarships.

Application Process: Send a completed application form and unofficial University of Louisville transcript to grapperhaus@louisville.edu. Students will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible.
