Graduation by the Numbers

Methodology

The University of Louisville Career Development Center has worked in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to better understand the employment and continued education of our graduating classes. Data on post-graduate plans is collected from three sources: the Graduation Card Initiative, the National Student Clearinghouse, and an additional third party vendor. The third party vendor is experienced in tracking graduate employment status via LinkedIn. The Graduation Card Initiative, led by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, is an effort to compile post-graduate information from students at every university-wide commencement ceremony.

The percentages below represent the knowledge rate of our baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral graduates by college or school for the December 2015, May 2016, and August 2016 graduating classes. Knowledge rate is defined as number of graduates for which information is known about employment or continued education.

Continuing education is defined as enrollment at a post-secondary institution.
