Quad Fellowship

The Quad Fellowship is a first-of-its-kind scholarship designed to spur interdisciplinary scientific and technological innovation while building ties among the next generation of STEM leaders. A joint initiative of the governments of Australia, India, Japan, and the United States. The inaugural cohort of Quad Fellows, announced in September by President Biden, includes 25 exceptional Fellows from each Quad country. Of the 25 American Quad Fellows, only 3—including UofL’s Afi Tagnedji—are current undergraduates.

Voyager Scholars

The Voyager Scholarship was created by the Obama Foundation and Brian Chesky to help shape young leaders who can bridge divides and help solve our biggest challenges together. This scholarship gives college students financial aid to alleviate the burden of college debt, meaningful travel experiences to expand their horizons, and a network of mentors and leaders to support them.

Fulbright Awards

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study, and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Administered in the U.S. by the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright program was established in 1946 to promote international goodwill through education and cultural exchange.

Founded in 1898, PiA fosters mutual appreciation and cross-cultural understanding between the United States and Asia through immersive work fellowships in host organizations and communities.

Boren Scholarship

The Boren Awards provide undergraduate and graduate students in all fields of study with funding for up to one year of immersive study abroad in languages and regions of interest to U.S. national security.

The English-Speaking Union is a non-profit educational service organization. Its summer study abroad scholarships for college juniors and Kentucky teachers are intended to promote the advancement of knowledge in an expanding global community.
