Spain vs. The Netherlands - World Cup
This photo was taken in the main plaza during the final game of the world cup. Spain vs. The Netherlands. The entire city gathered in the plaza to cheer on their team. As the sun set behind the cathedral we watched Spain capture the title "Champions of the World." Everyone celebrated well into the early morning.

“The Castel Sant'Angelo at night” Rome, Italy
On one of our first nights in Rome in late May, friends and I went exploring and witnessed the glow of the castle from across the Tiber river. Angels line the Ponte Sant'Angelo on the far right and the figure of Sant'Angelo is illuminated atop the building. Night in Rome brings a feeling of serenity that contrasts sharply from the bustling daytime city life.

“The Sandstone Structures of Petra” Amman, Jordan
The main focus of this photo is the majestic sand stone structures of Petra in Jordan. This structure is usually referred to as the “treasury,” and is a reflection of the past in Jordan. This large sand stone façade is one of many structures that comprise the ancient city of Petra. Our visit was organized by my study abroad program, and it was very exciting. It is one of the most amazing structures I have ever seen.

Everyone was exhausted from the long plane ride. As we climbed yet another hill I looked out into the distance and the beauty of the undisturbed countryside took my breath away. This is the first picture I took in Segovia.

This photo was taken in Meknes, Morocco of the royal gardens. These beautiful gardens were flourishing during the month we were there. I took the picture during my art class, in which we had to sketch the landscape. Meknes is one of the four Imperial cities in Morocco, and as such it has exquisite gardens. These gardens reflect the beauty and prestige of Morocco.
