The minutes of the meeting of November 15 were corrected to state that PHIL 691 (not 391) was the number of Capstone in Diversity Literacy.  With this correction, the minutes were approved as distributed.

A petition for exemption to the expanded grade point average requirement for college honors was denied.

Changes were approved to the B.A. in Physics.  PHYS 541 was deleted as a required course, and the hours in physics electives at the 300-level or above were increased from 9 to 12.

The following course actions were approved, effective Summer 2014.

PHYS 541: Electromagnetic Fields  (prerequisite change)
PHYS 555: Elementary Quantum Mechanics (prerequisite change)
ART 371:  Introduction to Graphic Design (prerequisite change)
BIOL 257:  Introduction to Microbiology (prerequisite change)
BIOL 260:  Human Anatomy and Physiology I (prerequisite change)
BIOL 410:  Misuse of Biology in Film and Pop Culture (new course)
BIOL 490:  Biology Internship (CUE designation)
BIOL 541:  Medicinal Plant Biochemistry (change to lecture/lab format)

The committee and Professor Eason discussed several other CUE proposals from the Biology Department, but action was deferred until additional information could be provided.
