A&S; Curriculum Committee Minutes, 11/21/03

Course/program actions are effective Fall 2004, unless otherwise noted. Graduate courses and programs must also be reviewed and approved by the Graduate School.

The minor in Social Change was modified and it and the accompanying courses were approved.

JA 493, 523, and 632 were approved. Action was deferred on JA 492 until Professor Beattie could request additional information.

The committee agreed to the transfer of the B.A. in Economics to the CBPA, while regretting that a department of economics did not reside within Arts and Sciences.

The committee had numerous concerns about the 199 course series proposed as an equivalent to ENGL 102, and discussion this issue will be continued at the next meeting.
