Community Engagement Award

OVERVIEW

The Community Engagement Award is presented to a faculty member and a staff member in the College of Arts & Sciences whose work encompasses outstanding research, curricular engagement, and/or service with a community partner. Nominations will be accepted from faculty, staff, administrators, and/or community partners.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Faculty and staff of the College of Arts & Sciences.

WHAT IS AWARDED?

$400 and a plaque-mounted certificate.

TOTAL AWARDS

Two (submit one nomination packet per nominee per category):

  • One faculty
  • One staff

CRITERIA

  • Must promote the College of Arts & Sciences through partnerships with community organizations on projects that enhance the quality of life for residents
  • Project(s) may not involve direct fees for services (recipient’s work goes beyond their job description or work responsibilities)

Please include in your nomination:

  • Must list the community partner(s) involved in the project(s) and length of time of the partnership (longevity)
  • Must demonstrate that the project(s) offer(s) a range of services
