Preliminary Degree Check
You can apply for a preliminary degree check once you have earned at least 90 credit hours overall.
You should apply for a Preliminary Degree Check as soon as you have earned 90 credit hours. The results will let you know what classes you still need to complete. For optimal planning - it is wise to apply at least 2 months before you plan to register for your last semester of courses. That way you have time to think about course availability and scheduling details.
If you intend to graduate during the current semester - you can go directly to the Final Degree Check / Application to Graduate on Ulink.
Most Arts and Sciences degrees require at least 121 hours, 50 or more of which should be taken at the 300 level or above.
The residency rule indicates that only 6 out of the last 36 hours taken immediately before graduation can be taken outside of UofL (as an Arts & Sciences student). That usually applies to courses taken as a visiting student outside of the University of Louisville. Graduation policy FAQ's can be found here.
