• Awardees must be current degree-seeking students in a College of Arts and Sciences graduate program.
• Awardees must be students in departments that are in "in good standing," (i.e., they have had regular representation at GNAS meetings over the course of the previous semester.)  
• Awardees must agree to (1) submit receipts of expenses, (2) present at a UofL Graduate Conference hosted on campus in the spring OR provide proof of how the funds were used, and (3) complete the Grant Funding Report at the end of the project. Students who do not fulfill these requirements may not be eligible for further GNAS funding.  
• Previous award winners may apply, but priority will be given to students and projects not previously funded.

• Complete applications must be submitted online during the application window.
• Applications must include the following information:

1. A project proposal/written narrative
2. A detailed budget

Once the research/creative project or trip is completed, awardees must do the following:

1. Submit receipts of expenses up to $250
2. Attend the UofL Graduate Conference in the spring OR Provide proof of how the funds were used:

• Picture of you at a research conference and/or PDF conference itinerary
• Picture of you presenting or showcasing your creative project

• This report should be submitted no more than two (2) weeks after the conference or completion of the research/creative activity.

• You may include other supporting documents, including but not limited to abstracts, travel itineraries, flight/hotel quotes, and software/product descriptions. If you are driving to and from your destination for research or conference travel, please include total mileage.
