How to Apply to JCTC
Follow these steps to become a Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) student.
Step 1: Complete the application for admission to JCTC.

Step 2: Send final high school transcript to:

Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. JCTC’s School Code (006961).

Step 4: Take the placement test:
- Register for your test or determine if you are exempt from the placement test.
- Questions: JCTC Assessment Center service account, jf-assessment-center@kctcs.edu
Step 5: Attend orientation (SOAR):
- Your orientation will be scheduled with an Assessment Coordinator immediately following your placement test (Step 4).
- If you are exempt from testing, please contact the assessment center to schedule your orientation date.
- Make sure to bring your ACT/SAT scores to orientation if exempt from testing.
- At your orientation session you will meet with an advisor and register for classes.
Step 6: After you have your class schedule go to the ULtra office to sign up and complete your ULtra Terms of Agreement (TOA) form.
