The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) provides services to investigators, sponsors and research staff conducting clinical research trials involving healthy subjects or patients. The office may be reached at ctu@louisville.edu.
The Human Subjects Protection Program Office (HSPPO) helps to ensure that all University of Louisville research involving human participants is conducted in accordance with Federal and State regulations and University and sponsoring agency policies and procedures instituted to protect the rights and welfare of human research participants. The Translational Grants team manages UofL's innovation programs, which provide infrastructure, advice, resources, networking opportunities, training and funding to help translate UofL research into commercializable products. Given their shared goals, these programs work together to establish UofL as a world leader in innovation. The office may be reached here.
IP and Licensing / Technology Transfer transfers discoveries from UofL labs to the marketplace through licenses, partnerships and new companies. The office manages university intellectual property, guides the commercialization process, acts as a single point of contact for industry stakeholders, and accelerates the growth of startup enterprises. The Office of Strategic Research Infrastructure (OSRI) collaborates with stakeholders across the university’s research enterprise to build, oversee, and strengthen strategic research infrastructure.
