NMRT Booth #238

photo of boothThanks to everyone who made this year's NMRT booth at the Orlando Convention Center such a great success!

Over the course of four days, 575 current or prospective NMRT members visited the booth for information about NMRT or for advice navigating the conference. Some folks stopped just to say hello or to offer their support.

Over the four days, 271 booth visitors completed a brief survey about their interest in NMRT. More than 160 survey respondents requested a follow-up contact about either joining NMRT or getting involved in an NMRT committee. Members of the Membership Promotion and Relations Committee will be making those follow-up contacts in the coming months.

Particularly popular with visitors were drawings for three gift baskets of library promotional items and Florida souvenirs donated by NMRT members or solicited by the Local Arrangements Committee. Congratulations to winners Michael Bolam of the University of Pittsburgh, Alicia Miller of George Washington University, and Theresa Preuit of Mercer University.

So, thanks . . .

to the volunteers who so ably assisted our booth visitors,

to NMRT members who donated goodies for the gift baskets,

to the Local Arrangements Committee for soliciting local donations,

to the Membership Promotion and Relations Committee for follow-up contacts,

to Quality Books for assistance with our display board,

to EBSCO for donation of tote bags,

and, especially, to the hard working members of the 2004 Booth Committee who made the NMRT presence in the convention center possible: Sally Bickley, Christine Caputo, Consuela Cline, Gina Costello, Xan Goodman, Amanda Roberts, Bruce Stoffel, Mary Tao, and C.J. Wong.
