Writing Center Services

At the University Writing Center, which is located in the Ekstrom Library Room 312, you can meet with writing consultants by making an appointment for a 50 minute session. We help you improve your writing by giving you feedback on any kind of writing, and we are also happy to help you brainstorm ideas if you do not have a draft yet. We do not fix problems in your writing but provide you with support, resources, and the environment for you to work on your writing projects.

At the Writing Center, you can use a computer for writing purposes, you can print a copy of the work you do at the Writing Center, and you can also walk in for an appointment if all consultants are not yet occupied for the hour. Since making your own appointment is easy, we encourage you to reserve your hour in advance whenever possible. When you come to the Writing Center, please remember to browse the wide range of useful handouts on the shelves and take a copy of what you find useful. Many of these materials are also available through the Virtual Writing Center.

Monday thru Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. 

Writing Center, Health Sciences Campus, Instructional Building, Room 120
(May 15th - August 7th)
Wednesday, 12 PM to 3 PM.

All Writing Center services will be closed on University holidays.
