A Project of Herstoric Proportions- Capturing Forever the Words of Women
Words of Women, since 2000, is an international effort to chronicle the important events in the lives of women and to tell the stories of the Most Influential Women in Our Lives for the next 100 years. Essays gathered annually from around the world, written by women and girls, will record what we considered important. Words of Women is an opportunity for all women to have a voice and to ensure that history is recorded from our point of view.
We invite you to participate in this year's world wide Words of Women Essay event by writing an essay of your own and by sharing this information with a friend or two, or 3, or 4, or more.

Annual Essay Cycle begins August 26, Women¹s Equality Day
Essay Deadline: January 1, 2008
Choose one of the following topics:
The Most Influential Woman in My Life or
The Most Significant Thing That Happened to Women This Year
Write a 500 Word-or-Less Essay, Typed, Double Spaced, One Sided
Include your name, address, phone number, email address and age category
on each page of your essay. (Youth, Maiden, Mother, WiseWoman)
Mail Your Essay and $5 Registration** to Words of Women Box 180777 Dallas, Texas 75218

Use PayPal at www.wordsofwomen.org to send $5 Registration or send by mail.
**Registration covers the cost of the Words of Women Certificates as well as postage and printing. Each essayist receives a Certificate. ** Registration Can Be Waived.
You will be notified when we receive your essay and when essays have been read and selected.
Winning essays are announced in February and presented at The International Women's Day Celebration at The Women's Museum, An Institute for the Future on March 9, 2008.
Essays are archived in the Women's Collection, Texas Woman's University, Denton, Texas.
Cash and other prizes will be presented on March 9, or sent within one month after announcement of the Words of Women Essay of the Year. Details will follow later on the event at the Women's Museum.
