Support

The Web Team supports the web infrastructure at the university.

Web servers and applications

Including the Plone/Zope Content Management System (CMS), Apache, Java, the Python OOP scripting language, authentication, web statistics, proxy services, and various web-based applications such as podcasting, calendars, message boards, blogging, web forms and surveys, and polls.

Database support

Database support includes MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.

Multimedia services

U of L's multimedia services include support for Darwin/QuickTime Streaming Server, Windows Media Server, Real Media Server, and Flash Communications server. This allows us to support a number of web services including live streaming, on-demand streaming audio and video services, and podcasting.
