Kindred spirits long before they met, renowned environmentalist Edward Abbey and University of Louisville business graduate Jim Stiles each found paradise and perspective in the remote canyons of southeastern Utah. During his years as a National Parks Service ranger, Stiles not only met Abbey, he joined his circle of friends. They shared a passion for the land.
