The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
The following buildings have gained LEED certification:
· 2010 - Clinical & Translational Research Building - LEED Gold new construction $ 136.3 million
· 2010 - Duthie Center for Engineering - LEED Gold renovation $ 5.8 million
· 2011 – Center for Predictive medicine – LEED Gold new construction $ 35.2 million
· 2012 – School of Dentistry - LEED Silver new construction $ 44.9 million
· 2012 – School of Medicine 55-B Imaging - LEED Silver interior construction $ 5.6 million
· 2012 – School of Business Equine Addition – LEED Silver new construction $ 3.4 million
Projects currently in design or construction targeted for LEED certification
· Construction – Student Recreational Ctr. - LEED Gold new construction $ 37.5 million
· Design - Ctr. for Predictive Medicine Addition - – LEED Certified $ 9.9 million
