What secret would you share if no one knew it was yours?

PostSecret creator to speak at UofL

Frank Warren

The creator of a popular website that lets people share secrets anonymously will speak at the University of Louisville April 5.

Frank Warren will talk about his PostSecret website at 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Swain Student Activities Center. The site is an ongoing community art project of postcards on which people write their secrets and mail to Warren for posting.

Secrets may be lighthearted - such as those about annoying habits or untold life goals - or they may be serious - such as those about traumatic experiences.

Warren has received more than 500,000 submissions from around the world since he created PostSecret in 2004. The site has spawned several books and museum exhibits.

At UofL, Warren will discuss postcards that have been banned from the book, as well as some of the funny and inspiring stories behind the postcards.

A limited number of public tickets will go on sale March 23. Tickets are $10 for the general public. The price is $7 for all college students with valid IDs and for UofL faculty and staff with a valid UofL ID. There is a one-ticket-per-ID limit.

Tickets only can be purchased in person at the Student Activities Center.

On March 23 and 24, they will be available at the Floyd Theater Box office, SAC third floor, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. From March 25 until all tickets are sold, they will be available at the Student Activities office, SAC W310, weekdays 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

PostSecret Live is sponsored by UofL's Student Activities Board.
