Lamar, a Los Angeles-based rapper, is considered one of the rising stars in his genre. In October 2012, he released his major label debut “good kid, M.A.A.d. city” to critical acclaim. The Recording Association Industry of America has certified the album gold and it has been named to several music publications’ “Best of 2012” lists.
Lamar has recorded with the likes of Dr. Dre, Lady Gaga and Drake. He also appeared as the musical guest on the Jan. 26 episode of “Saturday Night Live.”
