Cards under the Starts started last summer.

Movie nights will be Fridays June 10, July 15 and Aug. 5. In addition to family movies shown on a large inflatable screen, activities will include inflatable rides and family and children’s entertainment. All activities are free and open to the public.

Sodexo will sell food and drinks. Patrons also are welcome to bring picnic baskets, coolers and lawn chairs or blankets.

Movie organizers are hoping to build on last year’s events, when hundreds of people turned out for each movie.

“We wanted to do something special for our campus community last year, and we were pleased so many faculty, staff, students, alumni and their families came out,” said UofL President James Ramsey. “We’re hoping for even larger crowds this year.”

Activities will begin at about 6:30 p.m. Movies begin at dusk.

UofL is allowing its students, faculty and staff to help pick the movies again this year. Vote at uofl.me/ultj89mQA

“Cards under the Stars” is presented by the Office of the President and the Great Places to Work initiative.
