Candidates to appear in two public forums at UofL

Candidates for Louisville Metro mayor and the U.S. Senate will share their views and answer questions in two public forums at the University of Louisville.

Mayoral candidates will be at Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library, Tuesday, March 30, for a forum on the environment and social and economic development.

Confirmed participants are Greg Fischer, Tyler Allen, Jim King, Lisa Moxley, David Tandy, Shannon White, Jackie Green, Connie Marshall, Hal Heiner, Chris Thieneman and Jonathan Robertson.

The public can meet mayoral candidates informally at 6 p.m. in the lobby outside Chao Auditorium.

A formal question-and-answer session moderated by Mark Hebert, UofL director of media relations, will begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate will gather at a forum Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m. in Bigelow Hall, Miller Information Technology Center.

Confirmed participants are Daniel Mongiardo, Darlene Price, James Buckmaster, Maurice Sweeney and Jack Conway.

Candidates at both forums will be asked to answer questions submitted by the audience. Senatorial candidates also will answer questions from a panel of reporters.

Forum admission is free. Seating is limited.
