President Lincoln's Own Band performed at inauguration events last month.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., in Comstock Concert Hall, School of Music. Admission is free and open to the public.

The group will perform 19th century and traditional music, but also will give the world premiere of two works by contemporary composer Nikos Xanthoulis. The head of educational programs with the Greek National Opera, Xanthoulis wrote “Catch the Time” and “Odyssey-Argos the Hound” for band member Michael Tunnell.

Tunnell teaches trumpet at UofL. The group also includes UofL alumni Reese Land, professor at Campbellsville University, and David Centers, band director at Central Hardin High School.
