The vice provost for undergraduate affairs works with the Undergraduate Council, the deans and the academic unit faculties, academic advisors and academic support programs to promote undergraduate student success, engagement, persistence and satisfaction at the University of Louisville. The vice provost works with the enrollment management offices of undergraduate admissions and orientation, financial aid, registrar, and tuition residency; with the associate provost and director of the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning to provide university-wide services for all students and pedagogical engagement and development support for faculty. The vice provost oversees student advocacy and is the provost's liaison to the university honors program and the McConnell Center.

REACH
126 Strickler Hall
Resources for Academic Achievement (REACH) is the university's central undergraduate academic support unit. The Welcome Center (126 Strickler Hall) includes an information desk and study lounge, offices for the REACH Ambassador Peer Mentoring Program and offices for the REACH Academic Development Specialists, professional staff who provide intrusive advising for at-risk students. The REACH Learning Resource Center offers success seminars, weekly study sessions for difficult undergraduate courses, and scheduled tutoring for most 100, 200 and some 300 level courses. The Math Resource Center provides drop-in tutoring for 100 and 200 level A&S and Speed School mathematics courses. The Virtual Math Center serves as a drop-in computer center offering online resources and "real-time" tutoring for A&S and Speed School mathematics courses. The Virtual Math Center also offers onsite and online fee-based programs for advancement in math skills. The Computer Resource Center provides drop-in tutoring for computer literacy, scheduled tutoring for Business and Speed School programming courses, staff support for the Digital Media Studio, and student support for Blackboard. All REACH centers are located in Strickler Hall except the Computer Resource Center which is located in Ekstrom Library on the first floor. All REACH services and programs are available to UofL students without charge.

Student Advocate
126 Strickler Hall
The Student Advocate provides a "one-stop" confidential contact for students who need help in navigating through university systems policies and procedures and provides alternative means to resolve student complaints. The Student Advocate makes sure the student concerns and complaints get to the appropriate academic and student affairs units and follows up to make sure they are addressed in a timely fashion. The informal service is free and confidential.

Undergraduate Advising Practice
346 Strickler Hall
The Office of Undergraduate Advising Practice provides support and leadership to academic advisors and advising center directors in the undergraduate units of the university. The office assists academic units in providing consistent, high quality academic advising services to promote student retention and success.
