Eric Castlen Bio
Eric M. Castlen, a Technology Transfer Officer, has been with the University since 2008. His primary responsibilities include assessment, protection, and licensing of intellectual property developed at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering, includingthe Micro/Nanotechnology Center and the Conn Center for Renewable Energy Research.
Eric is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is admitted to the Kentucky bar. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky, a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law, and is currently pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering as a part-time student at the Speed School.
He is a member of the Association of University Technology Managers, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Young Professionals Association of Louisville.
