Cassie Carmichael Bio

Cassie Carmichael joined the Office of Technology Transfer in November 2003.  She earned her B.S. in Natural Resources Management with a focus in environmental policy from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.  After graduation she spent several years in Washington D.C. working in the field of environmental policy and law.  Cassie moved to Louisville in 1996, taking a position at Bank One in the Managed Assets Department focusing on commercial loan workout, real estate transactions and probate work.  In 1999, she accepted a position with Aegon's Marketing partnerships/Alliances Group division assisting with the development of equity-indexed annuity products as well as whole, universal and term life insurance products.  Cassie came to the University of Louisville in 2001 as a sponsored research/clinical trial contract negotiator for the Office of Industry Contracts.  At the OTT, she now provides guidance with all aspects of technology transfer.
