University of Louisville students can visit the Office of Admissions website to see which CLEP exams are currently accepted for credit. Students may also contact REACH for information on tutoring sessions. If you are taking a CLEP exam for another university or institution, please check their policies in regard to receiving credit.

There are two fees for each CLEP exam: A $33 administration fee due to the University of Louisville and $80 payable to The College Board.  If you are taking an exam with an optional essay, the essay itself also has a $10 fee.

FIRST, you must build a CLEP profile online at  Here you will enter the $80 payment and will receive a CLEP Exam Registration Ticket.  You must print this ticket out and bring with you to Testing Services the day of your exam so we can enter your Voucher ID from the ticket.

NEXT, you should register with the University of Louisville Testing Services Office  here to schedule your test date and time.  You will receive a separate email from us indicating the date and time of your exam.

FINALLY, you should read over the following information at and pay CLOSE attention to the ID requirements.  If you have any questions about the requirements, feel free to contact our office prior to your scheduled appointment.

**CLEP administration fees are NON REFUNDABLE, no exceptions.  If you must reschedule for any reason, you should register again through our U of L online registration.  You must pay the $33 registration fee again**
