Logging In, Viewing, and Printing Your Paycheck
1. As part of the PeopleSoft 8 upgrade, each person
at U of L will be able to access Novell, PeopleSoft and Groupwise
using the same password. The system is set so that more than likely,
your Groupwise and Novell (LAN) user ID (e.g. JDSMIT01) and Novell
(LAN) password will allow you to view your paycheck. There are some
exceptions, however:
- HSC students will use the Novell (LAN) and Groupwise user ID,
but will use a temporary password the first time they log in (*see
below). They will be asked to change their password for future
visits.
- Instructors with a PeopleSoft account of "W" plus
an employee ID will use the user ID for their electronic mail
and their Novell (LAN) password.
- People who don't have a Novell (LAN) or Groupwise account (those
who access PeopleSoft only to view a pay stub or class roster)
will not change their ID, but they will use a temporary password
the first time they log in (*see
below). They wil be asked to change it for future visits.
*Temporary
Passwords. The new temporary password format will be FFLL####,
where :
FF=the first two letters
of your first name as it is recorded on your paycheck. If you
have only one letter in your first name, the second character
will be zero.
LL=the first two letters of your
last name as it is recorded on your paycheck. If you have only
one letter in your last name, the second character will be zero.
####=the last four numbers of your
employee or student ID.
If your name is Jane Doe Smith and your employee number
ends in 1234, your temporary password would be JASM1234
If you have any questions regarding your user id and
password, please send an email to asksamit@gwise.louisville.edu.
