User ID/password information for first-time users

Signing in to ULink for the first time will require a few initial steps to get your account information set up and activated.

Students:

Health Sciences Center students/Other GroupWise account users: Your ULink user ID will be the same as your GroupWise and Novell (LAN) user ID and password. If you do not know your user ID, please go here to obtain your user ID by entering your student ID (printed on your Cardinal Card), and hit the "Back" button in your browser to return to this page. If you do not know your password, please please take a picture ID to a computing center for a password reset.

All other students: Please go here to obtain your user ID by entering your student ID (printed on your Cardinal Card), and hit the "Back" button in your browser to return to this page.

Your initial ULink password will be your temporary password (see below). After you sign in, the system will ask you to change your password.

Faculty/Staff:

Novell (LAN) and GroupWise users: Your user ID and password will be the same as those for both Novell and GroupWise. If you do not know your user ID, please go here to obtain your user ID by entering your employee ID (printed on your Cardinal Card).

All other faculty and staff: If you do not have a Novell (LAN) or a GroupWise account, please go here to obtain your user ID by entering your employee ID (printed on your Cardinal Card), then hit the "Back" button in your browser to return to this page.

Your initial ULink password will be your temporary password (see below). After you sign in, the system will ask you to change your password.

If you do not know your password, please take a picture ID to a computing center for a password reset.

If you have any other user ID/password questions, please send them to the helpdesk.

**Temporary password format:

The temporary password format is FFLL####, where:

FF = the first two letters of your first name as it is recorded on your paycheck or student record. If you have only one letter in your first name, the second character will be zero.

LL = the first two letters of your last name as it is recorded on your paycheck or student record. If you have only one letter in your last name, the second character will be zero.

#### = the last four numbers of your employee or student ID.

For example, if your name is Jane Doe Smith and your student ID number ends in 1234, your temporary password would be jasm1234.
