Interview: Mondragon's Coopeartive Economics

On this edition of Sustainability Now!, your host Justin Mog, comes in from the garden for a chat with UofL Brandeis School of Law Professor, Ariana Levinson about her May 2018 trip to Mondragon - a corporation and federation of worker cooperatives based in the Basque region of Spain. We share the unique history and culture that gave rise to what is now the world’s largest worker-owned cooperative enterprise; and discuss its relevance in our modern world where greed and neoliberal capitalism continues to concentrate wealth at the expense of people and the planet. Be inspired by this different way of providing jobs, services, education, products, and innovation; and consider joining us in the work to use community economics to tackle some of Louisville’s greatest challenges.
