UofL makes 2015 green guide

The University of Louisville is listed in the 2015 edition of The Princeton Review’s Guide to 353 Green Colleges, a free guide for college-bound students.

The publication profiles colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada with exemplary commitments to sustainability.

UofL recycled 57.4 percent of its waste, spent 29.4 percent of its food budget on local food, earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification on all new construction and offered transportation options such as bike and car sharing, the guide said.

Princeton Review compiles the annual guide based on information schools supply about their sustainability policies, practices and programs. UofL also was listed in the guide last year.
