The UofL Women’s Center and Women4Women Student Board are raising awareness of human trafficking in Kentucky to educate students and the community about the complex issue of human trafficking and to encourage taking action to prevent it.

The first part of the program consists of a "Human Trafficking 101" training led by Amy Leenerts of Free2Hope on ways to prevent human trafficking. Following this training, we'll hear from a survivor of trafficking and creator of the Kristy Love Foundation, Angela Renfro.

Afterward, representatives from various community and campus organizations will be on hand to distribute information on resources for victims of human trafficking and survivors. These organizations will provide information on how the community can get involved. We want to give attendees concrete steps to get involved in the fight, and there is no better way to do this than through organizations on the ground.

Admission is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
