Student Affairs Torchbearer Ambassador Program

WHO

The Student Affairs Ambassador Program is designed for students who are dedicated to serving and representing the University of Louisville and the Division of Student Affairs. Student Ambassadors are enthusiastic individuals who enjoy meeting new people and who are good citizens of the University of Louisville. They are interested in enhancing the reputation of the University and presenting ideas and suggestions that will improve the campus community.


WHAT

The students selected will assist with hosting official Student Affairs functions for alumni, perspective students, and friends of the university. Student Hosts may also be asked to occasionally speak at a variety of functions about student life and opportunities for student involvement at the University of Louisville. Examples of programs include:

  • Events hosted by the Vice President for Student Affairs
  • Parents Program Events
  • Homecoming Events
  • Student Affairs Alumni Events
  • Events Hosted by Student Affairs Departments - Housing, Career Student Activities, etc.
     

HOW

The selection of Student Ambassadors usually takes place in the Spring Semester. Students serve for the academic year, Fall and Spring semester. Applicants who complete an application (link located at the top and bottom of this page) and meet the requirements listed below will be asked to interview with a selection committee.


QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled UofL undergraduate or graduate student in good standing who have completed at least 12 hours undergraduate or 6 hours graduate. 

  • Grade point average of at least 2.5
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to serve and represent the University of Louisville
