Housing and Residence Life - Judicial Affairs - Position Listing
Responsibilities:
Judicial Affairs
- Enter referral and sanction information in Judicial Officer
- Train resident assistants on using Judicial Officer
- Facilitate and/or coordinate decision-making workshops
- Read discipline sanction papers and correspond with residents regarding judicial sanctions
- Schedule hearing as needed
- Update judicial forms and manuals
- Assist with student crises as needed
- Generate reports on judicial activity each semester
Advising
- Serve as advisor for Motivated Outstanding Volunteer Emulating Diversity
- Attend all meetings
- Assist with MOVED programs
Resident Assistant Selection
- Serve as member of planning team for selection process
- Be available to assist with interviews on the weekend
Other
- Submit program proposal for professional conference once per semester
- Present at Resident Assistant training
- Will serve on the Resident Education team, assist with overall program. as well as create programs for resident education.
Benefits:
- Full-time tuition remission for fall and spring
- $1,020 stipend per month for 10 months
- Individual health insurance
- A live-on option is available where a one or two bedroom apartment (based on availablity) is provided and a stipend of $620/month for ten months.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled with in-state status in graduate program at UofL
- Preferably enrolled in the College Student Personnel and Higher Education
- Background in program planning, implementation and evaluation
- Strong organization, interpersonal communication, writing and leadership skills
- Flexible work hours
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Should possess and have demonstrated past leadership experience
- Strong desire to work with undergraduate students
- Knowledge of computer software an asset
