Florence M. Strickler Cover Letter

Dear U of L Student:

Could you use one of two $1,700 scholarships from the Florence M. Strickler Red Barn Alumni Association (RBAA) for the 2013 Fall semester?

If so, please complete the enclosed application and return the completed application with two letters of recommendation to George Howe at the Red Barn Programs Office which is located in the Red Barn to your left as you enter the hallway from the single door with the awning marked “Intersection” on the South side of the Red Barn on or before Monday, April 22, 2013 at 5pm.  

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have a completed application WITH TWO LETTERS of recommendation attached and turned in by Monday, April 22, 2013, by 5pm.   PLEASE NOTE THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE EXTENDED AND APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN BY 5PM AS INDICATED.

If you are also applying for the Dennis C. Golden Torchbearer Scholarship,  the Essie Jenkins Torchbearer Scholarship or the Bridgette Pregliasco Torchbearer Scholarship(s), you need to have two letters of recommendation for each of them also.  The same persons who gave you reference for one of the scholarships could also give you reference for the other scholarships, but you need to have TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION ATTACHED TO EACH APPLICATION that you turn in.
