1. 2016 General Election Debate

Hello, University of Louisville students!
Your Student Government Supreme Court would like to invite all of you to attend the 2016 General Election Debate this Monday, February 8 starting at 7 PM in the Floyd Theater. All of this year’s candidates will be answering questions about their leadership, platforms, and the ideas they hope to put into action as your SGA representatives. This is a great way to learn more about the candidates and to prepare for the upcoming voting period (February 15 to February 18). Food will also be provided.

2. Absence Notification

Students and instructors are encouraged to deal directly with one another concerning all student absences. In the event of an emergency, an Instructor Notification can be requested by contacting the Dean of Students Office (DOS) at 852-5787.

6. Grants for Health-Related Product Development

Do you have an idea for a product that could improve patient care or enhance human health? The UofL ExCITE hub offers grants for up to $200,000 per project and we expect to fund 5-10 projects per year. A 2-page pre-application is required by February 29. Email: sarah.andres@louisville.edu

8. Ice Hockey Club Hosts "Kid's Hockey Night"

Readers will bring African American authors to life at the 27th Annual African American Read-In in Ekstrom Library. Books, poetry and other writing will be read out loud. 26. Bone Marrow Donors Needed

Dr. Vincent LaRussa of the Division of Cardiology is recruiting bone marrow donors to establish a stem cell bank for future clinical research studies. To be a donor, you must be 18-35, healthy, not taking any  medications. Donors will be compensated. HealthCare Outpatient Center, Suite 460.

 
 

TIPS FOR CYCLISTS TO IMPROVE THEIR SAFETY:

  • ​Always ride with the flow of traffic.
  • Ride at least three feet from parked cars.
  • Yield to traffic before entering or crossing a roadway.
  • Yield to overtaking traffic before moving across one or more lanes.
  • Always maintain control of your bicycle.
