Undergraduate Students
Majoring in public health (BSPH or BAPH) involves many opportunities to work within the community to gain an insight into the public health issues in action outside of the classroom. In fact, our students are required to take classes and complete a capstone that relate to public health practice.

Senior Capstone Practice Experience
The Senior Capstone is the program’s culminating undergraduate experience (CUE) in which the student establishes and achieves a significant learning objective in public health. In achieving the learning objective, the student plans and executes a major public health project; incorporates supplemental investigation and research as needed; communicates his or her work in plans, reports, presentations, and final paper and poster; and assesses and reflects on the experience of achieving the learning objective.
Course Objectives:
- Conduct a significant public health project
- Maintain a personal journal during a significant public health project
- Communicate a significant public health project in writing and orally
