Web-based Seminar: Statistical Evaluation of Surrogate Endpoints in Clinical Trials – Thursday, 2/21

The Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics will be hosting a web-based seminar series, “Statistical Evaluation of Surrogate Endpoints in Clinical Trials,” beginning Thursday, 2/21 in K-2024 from 12 to 2 pm.  Module one will address the following topics: the concept of surrogacy, basic taxonomy, key examples, prentice's definition, proportion of treatment effect explained, adjusted association and relative effect and the need for trial-level replication. The speaker will be Professor Geert Molenberghs, with the Center for Statistics, Universiteit Hasselt, Diepenbeek, Belgium.
