We are pleased to announce that Wu Chipeng, PhD, will be a visiting scholar to the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences for one year beginning Feb. 16, 2012. Dr. Wu received a Ph.D. from the Medical College of Jinan University in Guangzhou, China, and a Master of Environmental Health from Tongji Medical University in Wuhan, China. Currently, Dr. Wu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health of the Medical College of Jinan University.  At Jinan University, she participates in the International School which offers part of the curriculum in English.  One of her objectives while at SPHIS is to improve her English proficiency. Her activities this coming year will include working with Dr. Zhang’s lab, assisting in courses with Drs. Jacobs and Tollerud, and working with Cheri Hildreth, Director in Environmental Health and Safety, on an industrial hygiene project. Dr. Wu’s office will be in SPHIS Room 201.
