The Challenges of Health Science Research and Development in the Post-War Period in Sierra Leone – Thursday, 10/16

Bashiru M. Koroma, PhD, Njala University, Sierra Leone, will present, "The Challenges of Health Science Research and Development in the Post-War Period in Sierra Leone,” on Thursday, Oct. 16 in K-4007. After the lecture from 12 – 1 PM, join the speaker and facilitator, Dr. Muriel Harris, from 1 – 2 PM for an extended discussion on the collaboration between SPHIS and Njala University. Dr. Koroma, Coordinator of Master of Public Health Programme, Director of the Institute of Environmental Management and Quality Control (IEMQC), and a Member of Senate and Court at Njala University, will discuss the institutional status of the MPH and other related programs in the university’s School of Community Health Sciences and IEMQC. Dr. Koroma’s research interests include infectious diseases, water supply and resource development, capacity building in the public health sector, food security and nutrition.
