The School of Public Health and Information Sciences would like to welcome visiting scholars Professor Hannu Oja, an internationally renowned biostatistician and academy professor, and Jaakko Nevalainen from the School of Public Health, University of Tampere Health Institute, Finland. Dr. Somnath Data, Professor, Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, is collaborating with this international research team to develop robust novel statistical methods for handling clustered data. The resulting methods will be used in various biomedical applications, notably, in dental studies. Oja and Nevalainen will be visiting from March 10 - 13.
