MPH students and faculty from SPHIS took part in the 3rd Annual Passport Health Plan's Healthy Hoops Kentucky Tip-Off event with UofL basketball great, Darrell Griffith. Nearly 300 children with asthma and their families were provided with screening and education about controlling asthma and then participated in a basketball clinic. SPHIS students collected health status and quality of life measures from the children and their primary caregiver in an effort to understand the consequences of asthma on the child's well-being.
