Dr. Ruth Carrico, Assistant Professor, Department for Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences, has been elected to the National Board of Directors for the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC). Elected in December 2006, Dr. Carrico’s term is 2007 to 2009.

Dr. Somnath Datta was named co-editor-in-chief of the scholarly journal Statistics and Probability Letters for July 2007 - June 2010.

Dr. David Tollerud, Chair, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, was appointed as a liaison to the Environmental Health Roundtable on the Institute of Medicine Board on Population Health and Public Health Practice.
