SPHIS celebrates National Public Health Week 2010

Monday marked the beginning of National Public Health Week 2010. SPHIS is using the excitement around NPHW to promote the field of public health. We are posting announcements in UofL Today and hosting a booth on Wednesday, April 6 on Belknap (in front of the Humanities Building) starting at 10 AM. Employees and students are invited to come by to pick up a free reusable water bottle and find out how we can work together to promote good health in our community.

NPHW kicked off with the launch of a new and exiting video titled “A Healthier America,” which shows how small changes can lead to major improvements in public health and create healthier communities nationwide. Check it out at www.generationpublichealth.org, on YouTube and on Facebook. Consider emailing this to your friends, family and colleagues, or post the video to your Facebook page, your blog, Twitter account or any place where others can share what it means to improve public health.
