The next SPHIS research incubation meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Mar. 17 at 3 PM in conference room 103. Susmita Datta, PhD, Professor, Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, will discuss her two recently funded NSF and NIH/NCI projects related to high-dimensional genomic and proteomic data. The NSF project describes the development of better methodologies to analyze mass spectrometry data, and the NIH project describes how to identify possible proteomic biomarker for complex diseases like cancer.  She will also discuss how to construct a protein-protein interaction network from high-throughput gene expression microarray data and detect the change in the topological distribution of the network in the presence of a disease.
